Almost Done

I can't believe that we are almost done with this year!  I'm looking so forward to Graduation Night, you are all going to be so proud of you students - I know I am.

I will be sending home an invitation for the graduation ceremony.  You are welcome to invite grandparents, but keep in mind that the ceremony will be in my in-laws family room, so space is a little limited. We should be able to fit 25 comfortably.

We are still working on our blends.  So far we have completed ch, sh, and ow (also qu).

I Can Do It

The Theme for this month is

I CAN DO IT!

We have had fun learning to:
-Tie our shoes
-Zip up zippers
-Button our coats
and
-Snap up snaps

Today's lesson was "I Can Be a Good Friend".
Lets face it, FRIENDSHIP is something we will be working on our whole lives!  AND everything you really need to know in life, you learn from your preschool teacher (lucky me).

Sight Words
We are still working on our sight words and next week we will be adding the next round of Word Family words.

make sure your preschooler has these ones down...most are ready to move on.

we had fun making bubble wrap prints

Rainbow Fish was another fun coloring project.  Make sure you practice cutting with you preschooler.  It seem like a bad idea, but give your kid some scissors (just make sure they don't cut their hair!). Supervision is key!

I will be doing some testing the next few weeks.  We will test now and the end of the year so you can see their progress.  It will also give you an idea of what you need to go over in the long Summer months.
