Teaching about the sense of smell can be one of the best, most fun lessons. When kids can't see what they are smelling, they really learn whether or not they like things. All of them liked the lotion, candy and yogurt. One liked the smell of dog food and one liked the mustard. Go figure? Who knows why we like some things and others are repulsive, but I'm pretty sure our sense of smell has a lot to do with it.
